Corey graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1988. After completing a clerkship for the Wyoming 4th Judicial District under the Honorable James Wolfe, he moved to New York City where he worked for a large law firm representing Lloyds of London. After a couple years, he realized working for a big firm representing a big insurance company and living in a big city was not a good fit for him. So . . . he made a transition and became a high school history teacher.
After 25 years of teaching in Indiana and Washington, he made a U-turn and decided to return to the Law. From his own family experience, and his work with the Idaho Volunteer Lawyer Program, he became aware of the need of many vulnerable adults in the Treasure Valley for an advocate. He is now an elder law attorney. Corey advocates for the elderly and strive to give them a life of dignity and respect for their autonomy.
